Didn’t get exercised. Sad. But it’s what I was hoping for when I chose not to de-risk on Friday.

If this is still current I would include some bottles of bubbles. Even people who don’t drink wine enjoy a prosecco or cava of some sort.

I just find it annoying. Nothing more. Am sure it will fade away as time goes on. In the meantime, I’ll treat indigenous land acknowledgements the same as having to recite the Lord’s Prayer or say grace at a solemn occasion or group dinner. I quietly refuse to participate and simply bow my head in polite reticence. Edit: FWIW, the BC Supreme Court’s ruling is of little if any consequence in BC and zero concern or consequence outside of BC beyond Sun Media. Certainly not in Manitoba where the story was published as News..

    Inspired and appropriate. Bravo.

Wow, that’s going to be embarrassing when the military actually gets paid on the 15th.

I think that her advisers are telling her that it’s a land mine and just don’t go down that road. Don’t touch it. So far it hasn’t hurt her in the polls, but if you see a drop, I expect her to drop the guy like a container of yogurt left in a car in Texas for 8 hours…

It’s funny to think that someone’s 12 year old is trash talking him as we speak.

Watched it in a theater. Entertaining enough. I don't regret watching it.

I agree it’s out of line. Nice people viewing affirmation as an act of kindness rather than a psychosocial intervention potentially subject to iatrogenic harm. And one that puts them on a path often leading to chemical sterilization and lifetime medicalization. But it’s not clear to me what effect the 2024 election has had on the number of districts that do that.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Nobel Peace Prize Laureate is….: @jon-nyc said in Nobel Peace Prize Laureate is….: I hope he is truly saddened when he finds out. I hope it reopens all the wounds he has about never being accepted by the cool kids. He could still win the Economics Nobel for his innovations involving tariffs. That would be novel.

It’s up 60% since Trump took office and 18% since August. [image: 1760135376266-img_8211.jpeg]

An incredible burden. My sister is in a similar boat. Has to live in a group home, but hard to know what'll happen when my parents pass who are her default guardians. I know me and my brothers will step in. She's age 38 now, and she lived with them until about age 32... imagine living with someone who wets the bed every night, up at 4am, can't go to restaurants or trips, has a consumption issue where she'll drink a bottle of mouth wash or swallow batteries because, who knows. I was very nervous when we were having our 3rd. Growing up with a sibling with special needs, I honestly don't think I could do it again, it's beyond exhausting. If I ever won a billion dollars, my charity of choice would be to provide resources and relief for dedicated parents carrying that extra special burden for decades.
